Wintered Time

The magic fell from the sky onto the world,

Loving, kind, joyful, riveted,

He watched as it fell, twirled and whirled,

It drifted downward almost intimate,

He placed himself atop the frost, letting his thoughts unfurl,

He floated along knowing the sands of time are limited,

The true burden in the hourglass, downward he swirled,

He laughed, he cried, memories revisited,

He blinked; the earth became wintered and pearled,

For now, the magic, the snow, unlimited.
